CPG required the Refurbishment of their Tanker Barge MT Marine Excellence.
Due to time constraints, the vessel was dry docked in an uncustomary manner by means of beaching the vessel during spring high tide (near a Mozambique Port).
Our Scope of Works was to execute the Replacement of large sections of the Main and Forecastle deck plating, cargo piping, secondary steelwork such as the bulwarks and hand railing as well as the servicing and overhauling of sea chest valves, cargo valves, ship side valves and various pumps and motors.
SA Five Engineering performed exceptionally well in tough and testing working conditions with limited local resources to complete this critical project on time; safely, and within the required quality standards.
