Project Description / Scope of Work:
Managed by De Beers Marine, this project comprises the delivery and integration of a new marine sampling system into the De Beers Marine Namibia fleet – the mv SS Nujoma.
For the Recovery Plant, Control Room and FeSi Store elements of the Treatment Plant, SA Five executed the Shop detailing, Fabrication, Supply, Delivery, Quayside Assembly, Commissioning and Disassembly of all Structural, Mechanical Platework and Piping [SMPP] works plus the Installation of all free-issue mechanical equipment.
Vessel Integration Works were also added to the scope via the DBM In port Team – and include the following:-
- Fabrication and Installation of 200T of Structural Steel and Platework.
Fabrication and Installation of chutes, mild and stainless steel bins, support frames, handrailing, stairs, platforms, doors and diverters. - Fabrication and Installation of Piping systems – incl. compressed air, process and chilled water; fire, tailings, effluent and scrubber lines; vacuum transfer piping and dust extraction ducting.
- Installation of the UV&IR dryer, X-Ray machines, X-Ray service panels and hoses, cyclones, scrubber, dewatering screens, air receivers, volumetric feeders, fans, strainers and vacuum system equipment, etc.
