Project Description:
The construction of the new Belhar Road between Highbury Drive and Stellenbosch Arterial by our client – WB Civils; required the re-route of a 120m long, 1.6m diameter steel bulk water main pipe line.
Our scope of work was to execute the Mechanical and Rigging works of the piping re-route. This was completed in four phases, including a three day Shutdown of the existing bulk water main to accommodate the tie-in of the re-routed pipe line.
This shutdown work was successfully completed over a weekend, and in-time, much to the satisfaction of the City of Cape Town and the local residents!
